The Grand Palace

• The dazzling golden Grand Palace is a must-see in Bangkok
• It was built in 1782 and boasts of exquisite architecture and intricate details
• Architecture attests to the excellent craftmanship the Thais

Suan Pakkad Palace

• Name means 'cabbage patch' in Thai
• The palace is sited on manicured garden with serene ponds
• Displays of antiquities belonging to the Prince and Princess Chumbhot.

Wangderm Palace

• Built by a king to mark the establishment of the new capital in Thonburi
• Located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River near The Temple Dawn.

Vimanmek Royal Mansion

• The world's largest building made entirely of golden teak
• Displays of antique furniture, glassware, porcelain, old photographs and memorabilia from the late King's reign (1868 - 1910). 
• Most of the buildings within the compounds are now museums, including the popular Abishek Dusit Hall which exhibits Queen Sirikit's collection of handicraft.

Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall

• A magnificent two-storey white marble palace with a beautiful central dome inside
• Today, it is a venue for royal occassions and council meetings. 
• Outside the palace is the large paved plaza and the beautiful adjoining gardens of the Vimanmek Mansion.

Ladawan Palace

• Built in 1907
• Was a gift from King Rama V to his son. 
• Influenced by European styles of living and architecture, such as verdant gardens
• Today, it is home to the Crown Property Bureau
• A highlight is the prayer room with the Chinese-style Buddha altar.
